ParticipantI have a copy sitting right here in front of me. Send me your address via private message and I’ll put it in the mail.
You’ll like it.

ParticipantI think if I were to flash them the reaction would go far beyond “unexpected” and delve straight into “shock and horrified.” Sort of my reaction if I were to receive a kitten.
Seriously, I just wave and smile like I’m taking that victory lap at the Miss America pageant, then I get away. For me, confrontation is not a winning strategy even though in the heat of the moment I’m mad as hell.

ParticipantI’m coming to see you. I need more tires than the Bibendum dude. Something cheap and slick for the trainer and I think I’ve gotten as much fun out of the mtb bike as I can for the season so I’d like to put some snow tires on him so I can escape the house during the dark times known as “Snow Days” when the kids are unexpectedly home.

Finally, the type of view you can expect. All in all, a terrific set of rides easily accessible, without crowds.

ParticipantSsshhh. I know, it’s great and almost regret chatting it up. But I hope more people will give it a try, especially on their cross or mtb bikes. I couldn’t help but notice how convenient Artie’s is to the path. (A restaurant in the same family as Coastal Flats and Sweetwater Tavern, etc.)

I just came back from the Vienna Community Center where there were four bikes locked in the bike racks and none of them had lights. It’s gloomy and dark out there, cars have their headlights on even though it’s only four o’clock. Now these four bikes have some extra light too. I’m happy because I’m pretty sure these bikes belong to kids. Thank you Bike Arlington.
Happy Thanksgiving,

Participant1%, 2%, 3%….
1%: Washed out white and undrinkable
2%: Better for you but not quite the same
3%: The *good* stuffWe are talking about milk, aren’t we?
I’m thankful I have a warm home, food that I’m unfortunately forced to cook for Thanksgiving, more bikes than I need, and wonderful friends on this forum like Dirt, Dismal Scientist, Greenbelt, KLizotte, and Arlingtonrider. I can even appreciate, sort of, Blacknell. Put down your weapons folks and get back into the kitchen, or better yet, sneak out the backdoor and go for a ride.

ParticipantI frequently see men coming from work around ten-thirty at night riding without helmets and without lights along Route 7 near Tyson’s Corner in the construction kill zone and I realize they are not out there for exercise, or to show off their legs, or their carbon fiber. I worry about them and support FABB’s work to give out lights at LL Bean yesterday.
An angel, hardly. I’m just looking for an excuse not to cook. In fact yesterday I was so desperate to get my bike shoes dry I actually put them in the oven, that’s how much I love cooking. But it worked, dried out my shoes in about 90 minutes at 200 degrees. It’s the only recipe I know.

ParticipantThe list goes on. You take more to feed and hydrate than a human.
Hang on, let this work through my mind a moment. Does this mean that Tim leaves a giant carbon footprint because he consumes more resources than say, a petite woman who eats and drinks much less? heh. heh. heh.

ParticipantCongratulations on accosting an unsuspecting ninja! By my count you have one ninja “kill,” rock on! Perhaps you can put a sticker on your bike.

ParticipantI may have to break down and get panniers. I’ll be there with my Christmas lights and my rhinestone helmet securely strapped on. Thank you for organizing this event.
