It is important to be wise. Plan for the cold and have some bail-outs where you can stop to get coffee mid-ride if you can.
Woohoo! Reminds me of home.

So, we had one of the hottest December days on record, and now we’re about to go the opposite direction in January. Wonderful.

(that would be fun during the summer in Phoenix though…I used to play tennis in July and shoes would literally get soft and start melting)
I agree. Tuesday is my normal day to ride in so I think I got to do so.
How do you prevent vbrakes from freezing? It already happened to mine and I had no brakes for half my commute.
It will be cold. But not as cold as in Minnesota. Wind chill in parts of the Upper Midwest could be 65 below zero, early in the week.

I know this is a family forum, but I read “bail” as “ball”…and, you can see my reason for thinking “Dang, Pete IS hard core.”

What the heck is “freezing fog”? That sounds like really bad times.

Today is also going to be a weird day. 45 degrees and raining to start, but 30 degrees and clear for the ride home. Be ready for it.
They say there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. I lack the clothing to bike at 5 degrees. 😮
