Did some riding in Mexico last February. Beautiful scenery and was happy to get the points!

And almost a prize. I was torn on whether the Least Freezing prize should go to TwoWheels for *most* warm weather riding or to you for *warmest* warm weather riding.

How does one pack a bike for a trip like that?

Like this, minus all the touring gear in this case, I assume.

Heh we have a week long meeting in Orlando in February and I have convinced them to let me drive all of the presentation gear (laptops, projectors, etc) down instead of shipping it.

I *miiiight* be able to squeeze the ol’ Orbea in there. Somewhere.

But then you have to ride in Orlando…yikes!

Trying to figure out the logistics for my 2 week vacation in February, but I’m shooting for the “Rider who circumnavigated a country” prize, trying to get in a long ride or two in Grand Cayman. Looking like I’ll have to pack my bike as the prospects for a road bike rental seems to be “none” or “rip off the stupid tourist”.

I did Grenada (on a mtb) in October 2011 and am hoping to add Barbados or Trinidad before spring.

Orlando gets a bad rap for some reason. The riding there is fine. Subby, check out the W Orange Trail, and the Windermere roadies routes.

Was going to rent a bike box (or beg/borrow one) (http://www.tricosports.com/travel_cases.html).

And Grand Cayman is… well… small. Was planning on: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3889168 or something just a bit longer for a full century.

Hey, your Grand Cayman route is cheating since you spend too much time going back over the same roads. I find it interesting that Google Maps doesn’t show any roads on that portion of the northside but does show several resorts. What to the tourists do, drop in by parachute or heliocopter? ;D

Hopefully this link works for my Grenada island circumference ride. Just under 70 miles with 5300 feet of climbing.
