Turns out my 10128 Zip Code Post Office in Yorkville does have the city next to the door (above the rear wheel of the bike), just couldn’t easily see it in the dark. Guess I should have taken a close up too. Located in the Ruppert Yorkville Towers Condominium at 3rd Ave and E 92nd St.

I can’t see it, but I’ve been to enough PO’s to know that there is a good chance it is in that location!
See. I’m easy to please. I think these NYC PO’s are pretty cool.

ParticipantReston post office, inside the lobby. Nothing on the outside of the building to identify it as the “Reston” PO. Riding late at night provided the advantage of being able to bring my bike into the lobby!

ParticipantFrom my ride yesterday with the LA Wheelmen. Most of the LA PO’s I’ve seen look more or less like this. I’ll need to do some exploring to see if there are more interesting ones.

Here’s a picture of the very first PO in Toluca Lake from 1892;
And the country’s oldest Big Boy (which I rode past yesterday) is located in Toluca Lake:
Clarification question: The rules say one post per day. Does that mean posting once per calendar-day or one post per ride-day. I.e., I took pics of POs on both Jan 1 and Jan 2, different rides. Do I post them both? Or is this one posted on Jan 3 (taken on Jan 2) the only one I can submit for the year so far?

Good question. For the leaderboard, it’s limited to one post office per day no matter how many rides you do that day. If you don’t ride one day, you can’t post two rides another day to make up for it.
For purposes of posting to the thread, I don’t care what day you post the picture. Posting pictures from your Jan 1 and Jan 2 rides could be done on the same day. You really aren’t required to post your picture to the thread.
I just enjoy seeing some of the different Post Offices. I’m also still trying to figure out how I’ll keep track of possible bonus points for some of the more interesting pictures.January 3, 2022 at 10:42 pm #1115467consularrider

What about the Old PO Building on Pennsylvania Ave in DC? The Madrid one is the national headquarters for telecommunications as well.

ParticipantI’ll go ahead and post another of mine. I’ve been to Thurmont many times, and this was the first time that I have ever seen the Post Office. It’s really off the beaten path, but I found it today.

Ah, yes. I forgot about that. I’m not much of a city person.
I actually had a client (it was a restaurant) that was in that building. It didn’t last very long due to the crazy rent!!
lol, and oh. Nice job getting the NYPD in your picture. Where they looking for you?

ParticipantSorry to be late to your #PO reindeer game, but did a couple deca-slease rides over that last two wintery days, and managed to include your #PO game on both of the rides. Of course now I’ve already used up my two most conveniently located post offices.

Have no idea why the second photo rotated as both photos were taken vertically.
