Margaret Hamilton played the best witch I ever saw. I always thought she was the best actor in that movie. Sooooo I found a street with her name on it today.

This tribute to Sarah Winnemucca, the first Native American woman to be widely published in the USA, at the US Capitol Welcoming Center, reminded me that Native American women were often viewed as devil worshippers and shamans as witches …. Satan incarnate … by Anglo-European settlers. This did not turn out good for the accused.
