Participant#scavhunt. Foodie Friday. This pack of flamingoes chowing down in a front garden on Reservoir Road would suggest that the food here is um um good.

Participant2/24/23 Foodie Friday, while not an actual business, I have hosted many Birthday’s, office cook outs, craft days, mom’s club parties, beginning of summer, end of summer and team parties at these picnic tables. Bloody Mary parties, crab feasts….

Ahh, thanks! It was just updated/edited today and today’s wasn’t on that very first page list when I looked or the latest listing in the middle that doesn’t start until tomorrow.
I’m glad I checked because the first post today was only a subset of the complete scavenger hunt. The phone game started immediately! 😂

This is a third of a huge sweet potato from Twin Springs Fruit Farms. I’ve been pre-ordering produce from them weekly since covid for pickup at one of the weekend farmer’s markets in Arlington.
My husband says it looks gross in the picture so I apologize if it looks that way to any of you. Makes a great ride snack – though you get faster sugar from the non sweet potatoes!
Here’s this week’s Twin Springs newsletter. It’s a year round market so it really helps us spend less time, $ & support in grocery stores
https://myemail.constantcontact.com/Food-Rules-.html?soid=1114104712974&aid=0IdIje3sXD4Though tbh I avoid them better in the warmer half of the year because there’s a 2nd farm that’s not year round that really supplies most of our produce – called Linda Vista.

I am certain Yayla Bistro serves only fresh food from a farm. I chose this Bistro bc my foodie friend Jann introduced me to this Falls Church bistro when visiting town years ago and told me about the Babes on Bikes in 1999 when it all began…

I’ve been eating from Common Good City Farm in my neighborhood since this summer – kale, tomatoes, and herbs still in the freezer.
Not sure why the process for uploading pics changed tonight. Between being solicited to take pictures and cops, almost didn’t make it.
