2/14/23 – Errandonnee (official spelling has double “r”, “n” & “e”)
My Bike Friday opted for a category 6 Errandonnuering, personal care, and went on a Valentines Day date with it’s other favorite [emoji7] bicycle named Liv.
Official Errandonnee spelling, categories and rules can be found here: https://chasingmailboxes.com/2021/04/11/errandonnee-2021-hyperlocal-edition/
Right, “errandonnee” is the noun. However, the verb “errandonneuring” has the e before the u, as a mashup of “errand” and “randonneuring.”

Participant2/15/23 free little library with a view. Grab a book and head over to a bench in the sun to bathe in the sounds of nature until the pool opens.

ParticipantLittle Free Library. This one is in front of my house. My husband Henry is a really wonderful LFL Steward. He checks it all the time, keeps good books circulating, and even buys used books to add to it!

ParticipantAre you in Virginia Land or Mary Land? Initially, I was going to put it up in one of the parks near Lake Artemis, but I also wanted to do some Hains Point laps and continue to recover from Covid and my fall and not go too far. I still went a bit further than was probably best, but at least it was slow.

Very clever! I wondered what had happened to Calvin Ball this year. I’ve never played b/c it has always stayed way too far from my usual riding area and in past years when the weather was actually winter, I didn’t ride that far from home. But I liked watching it bounce around. I hope someone who is playing this game gets it!

I am out in Reston. But don’t worry about it getting out here, I have fun watching it.

ParticipantWhen riding the paths of Reston, I find this little library village, so delightful: picnic tables for squirrels, figures for folks to play with, and a whimsical library complete with pigs inside.

So many here in Berkeley, CA, but one of the standouts was this one made entirely of Legos/Duplos
