2/7/2023 The Beatles landed in New York City on February 7, 1964, for their first trip to the U.S. “Help!” us remember their sounds.
One of my very favorite Beatles songs is “Love Me Do,” written by John and Paul, recorded 6/6, 9/4, and 9/11 in 1962; produced by Ron Richards and George Martin; and released on 10/5, 1962 in the UK, and on 1/10, 1964 in the US.

    2/7/23: Beatles

As it happens the Beatles song “A Day in the Life” has sounds in the track that can’t be heard by humans, but can be heard by dogs! Read about it here: https://www.dogtagart.com/blog/best-beatles-song-dogs

This dog looks excited to hear the song.bb0f3e0250d5a640c3a660a8095a559f.jpg

The Beatles first US concert was at the Washington Coliseum on 11 February 1964. Harry LYNN owned the Coliseum and booked the Beatles without knowing who they were.

Interesting trivia. Even the White House website lists him as Ulysses S. Grant, which was the name he went by his entire life. Not a clerical error, though, it seems.

We have a lot of mostly useless West Point trivia around here. My husband (74) and his father (42) grads of same. We even have an old Monopoly West Point version! I’ll have to look if it has Grant on it. Didn’t think about that before.

I come up with a lot of pictures and captions, but I’ll go with this one.

I’m quite sure you will find something by a ‘Paperback Writer’ in here.

I worked to the new Metro Station in Reston: “Ticket to Ride” remember the lyric? ‘She don’t care’? Well, I do care and accuracy is very important to me! So, stop, about face for a Day Tripper!

2/7/23 Beatles at Carnegie Hall were not allowed to record their performance because of the AMF American Music Federation (basically the union protecting American musicians). The Beatles needed a trade association like the “Assoc for Talent Development” one in Alexandria to lobby on their behalf 2/7/1964. 8e7939065cae8298a44192645427f224.jpg

I rode my bike tonight to Wolftrap to see the 5th Dimension at the Barns and it reminded me of “When I was younger, so much younger than today…”

Hank Dietle’s Tavern in North America is showing Beatles at Dietle’s on February 17.

    5:00pm
Beatles tunes, better than the originals, (at least their mothers think so) – performed by Sarah Bonner and amazing brothers Mark and Paul Zimmerman! Come by for a beer and enjoy early Beatles and other gems.

This may not be your most creative entry, but I figured I’d “Help!” people know in advance so they could attend.

    2/7/23- the Beatles!

Well I really wanted a pic of a vw beetle, preferably old school…. Or [emoji848] a weeping guitar maybe? [emoji38]

Whey I did find was this extremely British looking intersection. Not particularly liverpudlian, but the 4 fab boys did come here from the queen’s England…. Which is clearly where these streets think they are!
