Participant2/1/23 – Texas sized
The masonic temple is in between a coupla neighborhoods & the amtrak station – so it’s the largest thing around –
Yeah I know I’m late. I was up late talking with my husband who’s on central time – and then struggled to get my photo uploaded for a bit….
But hey at least I remembered to do it before going to bed, unlike the last 3 days….

#scavhunt Texas day
This giant monolithic granite stone from Texas, was placed in Lady Bird Johnson Park in Arlington, to honor our Texan president, Lyndon B. Johnson. This 41 ton, 18 foot high sculpture was given a “rough hewn” surface to reflect the rough hewn nature of LBJ. Geologists have decided that this monolith is over a billion years old.And of course, LBJ thought of himself as quite old. Apparently, one of the reasons he didn’t run again (besides the whole Vietnam war thing) was that he was 59, and wasn’t sure he would survive another four years. And he was almost right–he died at 64. Yes, those were the days when we thought 63 was too old to be President…
