Should we call this “clip” art?

“Bavarian” style pretzel at Triple Crossing on N Foushee St, Richmond, VA. This is actually larger then the “bretzels” we used to get in Germany.

I was supposed to be in Texas today and had an awesome picture for today. However, the winter storms in TX put a damper on that. I had a 2nd option in town, but I needed to ride on a section of I-10 (which is not allowed), so I had to settle for this slightly oversized roadrunner that I spotted on my ride.

This giant monolithic granite stone from Texas, was placed in Lady Bird Johnson Park in Arlington, to honor our Texan president, Lyndon B. Johnson. This 41 ton, 18 foot high sculpture was given a “rough hewn” surface to reflect the rough hewn nature of LBJ. Geologists have decided that this monolith is over a billion years old.

    2/1/23 – Texas Day – BIG!!!

This is a climbing jungle gym that represents one of the Three Sisters Radio Towers in Arlington. It is twice as tall as any jungle gym I ever remember playing on, and makes my mother-wince when thinking of my children climbing to the very top of this LARGE and HIGH jungle gym.

Everyone knows that everything is larger in Texas … except this national champion Dwarf Hackberry tree, which resides in Alexandria VA!;-)

Is it the biggest hill? No. But Big Stinky looms large compared to the new MBT extension to Fort Totten. 6670b61e2868c560e8b4a2f35d5112e7.jpg

I could write a long, long story of how I didn’t get to ride this morning. I didn’t want to ride tonight, so I stopped in the middle of my journey back from New Jersey and did circles at the Molly Pitcher rest stop on the New Jersey Turnpike. 117 miles with 10 mysterious exits.

They must have water, so here is the ginormous water tank on the NJ Turnpike!

    National Texas Day Very Big

I could use this some days.

I also saw a very large spider making its way towards Florida and then probably Texas. But we can only post one photo 😔

Yes, I know, we saw her yesterday. But in addition to walking backwards, the woman is 10 feet tall, not even counting her pedestal.
