    1/28/2023 Data Privacy Day
ATMs require a PIN (as well as a card, but I’m not taking a picture of that!) and tell us to cover the keypad while entering it to maintain the privacy of our banking data. And yes, I deleted my bank name to maintain my own data privacy.

Of course, I also wore a mask, because I’ve heard viruses can impair your data privacy. :D

    1/28/23 – Data Privacy Day

A lot of our data goes through wires (what doesn’t go through cyberspace) – some even through some of these lines.

Never heard of this Australian based-band Flash in the Pan, but their album cover is perfect for today’s #scavhunt: Headliners released in 1982.

We’ll, art installation on Lake Thoreau always bring to mind a puzzle head with the spinning of the parts in the window of the mind.

    1/29/23: National Puzzle Day

I’m using my entry to call attention to the problem with the puzzle piece associated with autism. Please read about the controversy here. https://www.altogetherautism.org.nz/autism-no-puzzle-nothing-wrong-with-us/#:~:text=To%20autistic%20people%2C%20the%20puzzle,the%20past%20referring%20to%20autism.

In the past, a puzzle piece referred to autism. I took a photo of this life-sized Deadpool, who is considered to possibly exhibit a partial range of autistic behaviors, and so previously might have been associated with a puzzle piece.b68695c0467be0ffdbdbddd87bbdf73c.jpg

Take a Good Look In the Mirror, from the Art, Islam, and Activism: Works in Progress exhibit at VisArts in Rockville.
As described by the artist, “Take A Good Look In the Mirror is a series of Pentagon-shaped handmade clay tiles framing a mirror, each tile a puzzle piece to a story about the Global War on Terror from the perspective of those most impacted.”

I rode down to a particular street sign, which is a puzzle which you can see on my Strava feed. That was going to be my entry but then I stopped by a little coffee shop to get warm and saw these awesome little pieces stuck to the front of the Cash Register.

I had no idea it was even controversial. I remember “Bike to the Beach” using it for years on their adverts for the ride! Thanks!

Oooh, thank you! I have to kill an hour Friday morning after an MRI but before the LLBean opens. Now I know where to go – that store looks awesome!
