Continuing my theme of toys, when I was a kid, all the cool kids had the new game, “Mousetrap“! This sculpture at the Reston town center always makes me think of the game. It’s called Buoyant Force.

The Vietnam conflict (the US never declared war) impacted every aspect of the 1960’s – politics, culture, music. It defined an era and impacted every generation of Americans since. It’s only fitting to include this memorial for today’s scavenger hunt.

Martin Luther King was one of the heroes of our time. He gave his “I have a dream” speech in August 1963, 2 months before I was born. Now I’m almost 60….. I sure wish we were closer to achieving his great dream
