Accepted. Because igneous rock is formed through the cooling and solidification of … lava.

Classified ad in a Spanish language newspaper. This ad is for Woodbridge condominium rentals with 2 bedrooms, 2 complete bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, washer-dryer, & 2 covered parking spots near Belmont bay information.
The Spanish word for washing machine is “lavadora.” I circled the “lava” in the picture.
I picked up the newspaper on a walk with a friend earlier – all day I’d been hoping to find a laundromat or car wash with a bilingual sign….. I was looking on the walk, too, for a sign I could come back to take a pic of on my ride home. There were no bilingual signs, though. I didn’t really expect any in Clarendon. I was surprised to find the newspaper there.Earlier today I’d biked through a car wash in a multi ethic part of falls church – I’d weaved between the cars, & HEARD the workers speaking in Spanish! But all the signs were all in English! [emoji2358][emoji1744]
So anyhow later in my walk with Joan I picked up this Spanish language newspaper, flipped through it, didn’t see anything…. It was Joan who suggested I bring it home – and sure enough, on the back page I found this great ad, & had to go out and ride around the block with a newspaper in my pocket to take the picture.
I shoulda read through the newspaper before I got on my bike to come home from Joan’s – but I don’t think I’m flaunting the rules here, just a poor planner (story of my life [emoji2358][emoji1744])
Sorry I covered part of the ad l. I was thinking I was highlighting the “lava” & didn’t realize I’d wanna translate the ad for you guys. Whoopsie [emoji2358][emoji1744]

ParticipantSo far the Photo Scavengers are on FIRE!
Now for Week 2 of the Photo Scavenger Hunt: Decades!
Take a photo each day to represent a decade, as follows:
1/7/23 Saturday ’90s
1/8/23 Sunday ’70s
1/9/23 Monday ’60s
1/10/23 Tuesday ’50s
1/11/23 Wednesday ’40s
1/12/23 Thursday ’30s
1/13/23 Friday ’20s(Yes, we know ’80s is missing…)
Can you take an iconic shot, so that it’s clear to anyone who sees it which decade you’re targeting? That’s awesome! Do you need a little explanation? That’s okay, too.Great start, everyone! Love seeing the creativity!

, I took a photo of a Japanese restaurant since Japan has many active volcanoes (Indonesia has more). According to Google Japan has 10% of the Earth’s active volcanoes numbering 111!!!!Had what I thought were many great ideas but none of them came to fruition because I stayed at work too long: Bag of lava rocks at a hardware store (closed); hot lava wax sign at Mr Wash (closed), volcanic rock sites in geological map from Lake Barcroft into Four Mile area (called Indian Run)
https://naturalatlas.com/geologic-formations/indian-run-formation-2772993Too dark to photograph; lava rocks advert for a massage studio or nIl salon–too tired to seek…
