This evening I was a dasher, trying make the 6:45pm metro, but because I stopped to take this photo for #scavhunt, I missed the train by 30 seconds.

This free “reindeer” was the only one I could find tonight on both Sligo Creek Parkway and Rock Creek Park. Getting ready to dash forever. Perhaps they were snuggling because it was cold. I also took photos of an empty track.

No hyphens were harmed in the making of this post.

I went on a li’l exploratory ride with Jenn today and ended up on a gravel road (on 23s [emoji38]) that took us the McLean High school sports fields- where what to our wondering eyes did appear but dashers!

I was lucky enough to see some young Tigua dance troupe members rehearsing the Buffalo dance. The boys wear the buffalo headdress carrying shakers, and the representation of a spear. The girls carry ears of corn. It’s fun to see that underneath at all, they are regular teenagers wearing Nikes and carrying cell phones in their pockets. Lol
