This Gazebo is a Public Art Installation in downtown El Paso. Its official title is “Aztec Pavilion” by Poetic Kinetics.

I laid on the floor of the structure to try to encapsulate some of the intricate ironwork. I could have stayed there all day trying to follow the lines and figures.

It’s a solar energy powered project that serves as a destination and performance place, depending on needs.

2/15/22 – gazebo in Belle Haven

I hadn’t been getting photo scavenger hunt pix on my Tuesday rides cuz I didn’t wanna ask to interrupt the riding. But today the guys asked about freezing Saddles and somehow they ended up deciding to find me a gazebo in the ride. Doug Lemmon found me this pretty one.

This find in the conifer collection at the National Arboretum was an adventure, but perhaps not worth so much of a Fire Swamp level without the Princess deal. As I was climbing over a fence, rather than under one, the popo drove by about 10’ away and amazingly didn’t notice me or didn’t care.

I actually think this would be a cool collection to visit during the day.

Silas Burke house in Fairfax County, VA

Here lived Lt. Col. Silas Burke (b.1796–d.1854) and his wife, Hannah Coffer. Burke, for whom Burke’s Station on the Orange and Alexandria Railroad was named, served as a director of the railroad and the Fairfax Turnpike Company. An innkeeper and farmer, Burke was elected president of the Fairfax Agricultural Society in 1850. He held many county offices with distinction, including road surveyor, commissioner of public buildings and schools, county court justice, presiding justice, and sheriff.[ATTACH=CONFIG]28020[/ATTACH]
