2/4/22 Groundhog Day-so, my understanding of GH day is that you live the same day over again…I could’ve skipped reliving a fall! No pictures–these bruises have to be censored

Groundhogs (Marmota monax) are a type of rodent known as a marmot, and marmots are closely related to squirrels. They are both in the same family of of rodents called “Sciuridae.” So basically groundhogs are considered large ground squirrels. Sooo, meet Fairfax Freddie, a relative of Punxsutawney Phil.

Groundhog Phil may try to predict the weather, but the weather station, circled, does a better job.February 5, 2022 at 2:30 am #1118629Kbikeva

Participant2/4/22 groundhog day
My friend Lissa hit a groundhog riding her ebike on the GAP last fall. While she and her knee have healed, I am sure she would not care to repeat her particular groundhog day.
And no, I don’t know what happened to the groundhog she ran over, though it did survive to scamper away.

ParticipantI’m going with the woodchuck variety today, I think I was disappointed to wake up this morning to all that rain in Arlington rather than the cold in York.

Miracle Theatre on 8th St. Again, inexplicably blurry, but you can clearly see the film “Groundhog Day” on my Strava post.

Participant2/5/2022 Nostradamus: I did a metric century and conquered mud pits to find a Bar called Nostradamus, but in the 2 months since the google pic they turned it into a new bar with a different name…so I went across the street to the Parque Europa
for something else…one of Nostradamus’ predictions was a huge hurricane in France which might mean that the Eiffel Tower might just come down…Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
