    2/2/2022 – Groundhog Day.

I emerged from my burrow this morning to go for a ride. I saw my shadow (and my bikes) thanks to clear weather. I did not retreat to my den, but instead enjoyed 6 more hours of riding my bike.

    2/2/22 groundhog day

My friend Lissa hit a groundhog riding her ebike on the GAP last fall. While she and her knee have healed, I am sure she would not care to repeat her particular groundhog day.

And no, I don’t know what happened to the groundhog she ran over, though it did survive to scamper away.

    2/2/2022 Groundhog Day

I kept my eyes open for a groundhog on my ride today. I finally saw one but it ran back into this hole before I could get my camera out to take his picture. He refused to come back out for a photo shoot. ;)

I rode out to the new theater (Alamo Drafthouse) where they advertised (on line) that they’ll be showing Groundhog Day this evening. I was hoping there would be something . . . ANYTHING that would be suitable for the scavenger hunt photo. What I didn’t know is that the road it’s on is under SERIOUS construction. Playing frogger on the roundabouts was nothing compared to getting into the parking lot so I could go look for the little rodent. It included zillions of fast moving cars and trucks, a newly laid entrance that was still warm as I walked across it, and carrying my bike over sand so as not to accumulate goathead thorns.

Nothing depicting a groundhog or the title or anything. So I went to my back-up plan and stopped at the grocery store on the way back.

    Ground Hog Day

Hah! I was thinking of taking a picture of some Ground Chuck beef. Since is groundhog is also called a woodchuck. I thought it would be a good play on words.

See the sign for “GROUND” in front of the shadows of our hogs? Ahem, bikes?
I can’t believe someone saw a real live groundhog!

    2/2/2022 – Groundhog Day

Well, a pig this big is a HOG, and, well, it’s kind of ABOVE the ground, so…… we have an Above-the-groundhog

2/2/22 Groundhog Day I am a numbers gal and love fun strings of numbers. Looked long and hard for 2222 but found 222 which is cool because Groundhog Day keeps repeating. So, 222 as a palindrome is 222 so like Groundhog Day, it keeps repeating over and over again. Taken on tonight’s ride which currently will not upload from my Garmin.4121cf237ac8d3d6c73507e838c62abf.jpg

Don’t you mean ‘old’ enough? I watched that all the time.
