It’s probably just as well I needed to go for some lab work today, since that got me out before the snow got too bad. And I was able to stop on the way back and get this picture of a bikeway — the Bethesda Trolley Trail, only half a mile from my house.

Shared use path on Telegraph Rd. in Alexandria. I usually take the road these days, but this path was a lifesaver (literally) when biking with the kiddos….

I took one on the w&od but then I decided that since this pic would be easy for most of us, I’d get a special one. I was doing the DC loop today and I really like the bike lane IN THE MIDDLE OF PENNSYLVANIA AVE so this is my friend Mark holding my bike while I took the pic [emoji3]

About 10 miles from mom’s house, in the middle of the university area, i.e. many young people. This bikeway is really popular, especially when heading back from class – then it’s downhill. At every intersection, my favorite sign is there, “Yield to Bikes” … ahhhhh
