I was planning to go to the actual airport. But it would have been 30 miles round trip, and with my bike having acted up so badly yesterday I wasn’t willing to chance it. So I went for a more modest goal. The only issue was getting to a Metro station that was above ground, so I wouldn’t have to go inside to get the photo.

I’m glad they did something positive with that property. When I was in high school at Fort Hunt (many moons ago), that hill was the destination ride and involved crossing Rt. 1 – which even then, was terribly dangerous. So of course, being 15, my friend and I thrilled to do twice each trip.
