I found a bottle! I bought the bottle! Then I remembered I was on my bike with only a small string bag backpack. But I schlepped the bottle home and will try it this evening with pizza. While my mom’s in the hospital I’m having all the things she can’t have due to sodium restrictions. Tomorrow night is Chinese!

I rode to Maryland Meadworks from West Alexandria, and I do not regret it because Maryland Meadworks is two in one – #scavhunt and #publicartfinder. I guess Rumi’s talented daughter is the author of this beautiful art.
There’s a lovely gentleman on N. Ivy Street in Arlington that has a daily whisky tasting for anybody who wants to stop by and imbibe a free sample. He also has other inebriants besides whisky, including mead!

Wow! I saw Chaucer’s Mead in the store along with some Irish bottles labeled “meade” … but the “Made in Texas” mead won out. It turns out to be way too sweet for my taste but I’m glad I tried it.
I researched around to try to find a business with Mead in its name that was within a rideable distance but was unsuccessful so went with my backup idea – envelopes.
