I despaired of finding a squirrel in the desert. I contemplated riding to the bookstore and finding a Brian Jacques book. But as I was cruising along in a neighborhood, right as my phone rang, I saw some squirrel figures in a yard. I answered my son’s call with, “Hey! I found some squirrels!”

If you’re interested in white squirrels, visit the Sully Historic Site out near Dulles Airport (across 28 from Air & Space Annex)…there’s a story there.

On my ride today with the Fairfax Squirrel Dodgers we stopped by the Chubby Squirrel Brewing Company in Fairfax City. They had an assortment of squirrels in the window.

We of them Fairfax Squirrel Dodgers Club were REQUIRED to step up for our namesake scavhunt goal or be SHAMED! I think we did well with a visit to the Chubby Squirrel Brewery in Fairfax City!

All the live squirrels in my neighborhood seem to have gone into hibernation. But I found this cutie on a window in the Locust Grove Nature Center.
