Speaking over over-thinking things. If you’re the kind of person who likes to do that, I just want to point out that the calendar we created not only has calendar tabs showing the top picks each day, but a tab with the thoughts of the judges as to why they chose that photo.
And let me say fret not if you don’t see your name here (yet)! Remember there are two contests built into this one pointless endeavor. Those daily participation entries, and this – as Rumi puts it – “beauty” contest.
I don’t see any tabs, but I’m resigned to not being artistic enough to be featured. I’m okay with that. Sort of.

It is difficult to find deciduous trees in the desert. But I persevered and found these desiccated autumn leaves along one road.

It took me several tries to get the full effect of the moon through the leaves, if only because my fingers were so frozen that I couldn’t turn off the headlight on my helmet. I finally managed with much difficulty to get the whole helmet off.

Not very interesting – but still ‘autumn’ leaves. I see I am going to have to step up my creativity game!
OK, it came out sideways. I can’t figure out why this one did. Oh well.

That happened sometimes on my old Android phone. (It doesn’t seem to happen with the new one.) I got a free program called Pixlr which allowed me to rotate photos. You could give it a try if the sideways photos bother you.

It used to happen sometimes on my iPhone, but I uploaded this one from my laptop. Go figure!
