As was already mentioned by someone else who posted a fire hydrant photo, the fire hydrant operating nuts that control water flow are pentagonal to help prevent tampering.lol, I already know that now!!

Proof that if one looks deep and hard enough on the InterWeb, one can find justification to reinforce an already firmly held opinion, LOL!!

I am a big believer of this. Tell me which side you want to argue for and I will find support for it. Most of the time, you don’t have to dig that deep!! I usually only post stuff that supports my opinion (as in a goose vs. duck post and aluminum vs. aluminium post from last year). And now, I have the rhombus. I have gotten so smart thanks to FS!!

This one took more dedication than usual. I mean, I knew there had to be one at a baseball field near me. But when I arrived, it was invisible under a layer of ice. After a bit of guessing as to where it might be, I managed to chip off enough ice to find it. However, there was so much mud on it that I couldn’t get a photo clearly showing it was a pentagon. And my attempts to brush off the mud were unsuccessful, because muddy water kept coming back. I finally had to go home, get some paper towels, and come back so I could clean off enough of the mud so that the whole pentagon shape was visible.

At the Whole Foods in Pentagon City, the numbered signs for the checkout lanes are pentagons instead of the normal squares. I’ve always found that a nice nod to the neighborhood.

I liked that the orange pentagons on the ball matched my orange water bottle cage.

It honestly isn’t easy, at least from a phone. I barely got mine in before midnight by just screwing around with what I thought I did in previous years. I had to add the photo first, by hitting upload or something, then you have to check the picture, then you have to hit “go” or something, then you have to finally post it. Did you finally figure it out?
Yes, I did figure with the help of another FSer. The words Upload Photo on my phone was a hyperlink when I didn’t know it was.

I had trouble trying to upload both memorials and shapes on the road tonight (took shelter in the bathrooms at Long Bridge Park). Some of it may have been from using cell service instead of WIFI (shapes seemed to download when I went to the door) and I wonder if trying to upload the same picture for memorials was a problem. It finally uploaded at home when I edited it to include more of the AF Memorial, but it probably won’t count because my bike wasn’t in the photo.
