Midcentury Modern
My entire subdivision was created midcentury, and many of the original houses are still there. However, apparently midcentury nondescript doesn’t count, so I went with this one, which an article assured me is Midcentury Modern.March 15, 2022 at 11:47 am #1121050Serdar

LOVE this! I’m so happy you’re having fun doing all this riding and research. Just don’t get in trouble with the wife!
I showed photos of those ladies to her, and she loved them.

Participant3/15/2022 – Mid-Century Modern
I have a personal history with this house on Southdowns in Bloomington, IN. My paternal grandparent moved into it when it was built in the late 1950s and lived there until their deaths in the late 1970s. Three Bedrooms one bath, raised over a walkout basement with a detached garage. If we visited during the summer, it was only a block to the brand new outdoor pool in Bryan Park! Once we moved to Bloomington when I was in high school, I would go over to cut the grass and rake leaves.

Another busy photo day as you can throw a stone a find these house around Denver & Littleton. Multiple entire neighborhoods in this style. Hard to choose among the dozens of homes I saw, so I decided to go with this commercial building in old Littleton. Same architect that also does the Brutalist buildings around here. He built this one for his personal offices. The glass, colors, and roofline still stand out.

Participant3/15/22 Mid-century Modern–this photo doesn’t do the house justice. Very private from the front. The garage was added when my friends renovated this gem on N Harrison St across from Williamsburg Middle School, Arlington. The interior and glass on the back of the home are definitely MCM architecture.
