This bike-friendly Cameron Cafe tucked inside Cameron Station (Alexandria) with ample outdoor seating opened in 2010. It is a local coffee shop and café that brings together residents of the West End to celebrate life’s moments while they caffeinate.March 9, 2022 at 3:36 am #1120742Sophie CW

I was crazy busy all day, but managed to get a short ride in tonight. Rappahannock coffee is a wonderful little neighborhood coffee shop on Columbia Pike across from Penrose Square in S. Arlington. It has even survived the opening of Starbucks across the street. They roast their own!

Trade roots in Westover is a combo upcycled gift shop and coffee shop. (In retrospect I probly shoulda taken a pic of both sides of it.) It’s very nice but overpriced.

This was a bit depressing. When I did a search for local coffee shops in Bethesda, I found a Washingtonian article from a few years ago about the best local coffee shops. But when I went to look for them, one after another had closed. At least this one managed to stay open.Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

There are no shortage of galleries around Palm Springs, but there is a shortage of fine art

ParticipantI interrupt this thread for an important announcement!
FEEDing Saddles 2022: Assholes in Lycra, Who Care
Last year, we raised almost $5k towards this effort to feed hungry people in our area, which was pretty cool, via a crowd fundraising called FEEDing Saddles! (get it? get it?).
And this led to providing about 10,000 meals! ALSO: it allowed us to feel good about not just being some asshole in lycra. We could each of us, in that moment, also be an asshole in lycra … who CARES
SO Capital Area Food Bank asked us to resurrect Feeding Saddles for their 2022 food drive
Can we get at least 50 of us to make a donation in any amount, and here’s the link:
https://give.capitalareafoodbank.org/Feeding-Saddles-2022(Seriously any amount — this drive is as much about participation as it is about the total amount raised)
If everyone who has scavhunted this season chipped in whatever they could, we’d have over 60 donors.
THANKYOU!
