ParticipantKomorebi and I rode to Baltimore earlier in the day and only got short naps before Midnight Saddles so we left a bit early.
There’s a mirror at a blind corner on the Met Branch Trail. I called “bikes right” and then “never mind, it’s us in the mirror.” Tired brain.
I got a nice picture of Komorebi with a sharrow marking and the Washington Monument on the way home.

ParticipantI definitely wanted to join the Midnight Saddles crew, but as I biked to Baltimore (baby’s first metric century+) with Judd and Komorebi earlier I don’t exactly regret spending the evening resting and watching the Caps lose. Hope to be a part of the next one!

I don’t regret the Caps losing either.

Good for you on the metric century Bill. I’m working my way up to that!

The Baltimore ride went a little something like this:
Birru: “This is the farthest I’ve ever ridden. I hope I don’t slow you guys down.”
Birru pulls for the last half of the ride.
Komorebi gets 52 trophies.
Judd gets 31 trophies.April 17, 2017 at 6:33 pm #1069518sjclaeys

Mmmm, Judd is from Illinois, maybe a fan of the Blackhawks that have not yet scored a goal in the playoffs.

I’m from the part of Illinois that hates the Blackhawks too, but I haven’t watched hockey seriously since Brett Hull played.

ParticipantHave dynohub, will travel. My last remaining excuse not to do this is gone. (More properly, it now resides on the the recently rescued Das Kettler). Color me interested…

ParticipantI’ll be there! I haven’t yet ridden on the Klingle Valley Trail, so I’m looking forward to it.

The lines will be red, but the mapping will look more accurate.

I am disappointed that you did not use the mathematical constant e (Euler’s number) which is approximately 2.7182818284. Then, you could have had a nice and neat mathematical formula of FQ = BFaCl = e(BFuCl)

For those going on the ride (I don’t think I can make it and get up early enough to prepare for my daughter’s b-day party the next morning) – going in that direction, the trail is FAST. New surface plus decent elevation change (it’s a 7% to 10% gradient for the first half or so before flattening out) = wheeeeeee! And mind the bollards at the beginning…
