ParticipantI’ll be riding back home to Pentagon City if anyone is heading that way.

ParticipantWeather looks good for the ride, people. Roll-ups welcome. Just show up at the Washington Monument by 11PM Halloween night (costume encouraged, but not required). Come right on up to the monument apron; we should be easy to find. If you’re pretty certain you are coming and you didn’t already
the original post, go ahead and this one.

ParticipantI chickened out at riding to this after doing the other ride in Alexandria/Shirlington – we didn’t have dinner until 10, then drinking commenced.
However, somebody from the group I was with reportedly left the pub to join Midnight Saddles.

ParticipantBack by popular demand! Our first Midnight Saddles ride of 2016. Co-leaders Sarah Bee and Steve O.
Join your fellow night owls for a social ride on Saturday night, April 30 (ending Sunday morning, May 1).
Slightly earlier start. Here are the details:
– 10:30 PM: Gather at the Washington Monument
– 10:45 PM: Rollout
– 11:00 PM: Once around Hains Point
– 12 midnight-12:30 AM: arrive Tastee Diner in Bethesda
(Here’s the route)
– 12:30 AM – ???: enjoy midnight grub and fun company
– Middle of the night: Go homeThis is a social ride at a relaxed pace (unless you want to chase kwark around the point). No drop; all welcome; bring lights.
As usual, if you have somewhere to go Sunday morning or important stuff to do, then this may not be the ride for you. If not, and you can sleep in, though, then come along!
Like this post if you believe you will be joining.

ParticipantPlease consider restarting your Strava at midnight, so part of your ride can count towards the National Bike Challenge! Would be great if we post a bunch of rides at 2am May 1st and take an early lead!

May Day Nashville – Lake Monroe – Bedford (Indiana) Century anyone? Pretend you are Dave Stoller. Of course, I’m not going to start until about 7 am.

ParticipantGah! If this was not a two race weekend, I would totally join in.
Have fun and enjoy some awesome diner food for me!

ParticipantBummer. I’ll be in New York in prep for the 5 Boros Bike Tour, which was mostly a way to force myself to visit New York after living in DC for three years. I’m totally in for the May midnight saddles though.

In case you were busy last week getting ready for Earth Day and didn’t see this announcement, I’m bumping it.

ParticipantJust wanted to check to see if the midnight ride is still set for Saturday/Sunday? Steve O commented it was bumped, but I’m not sure if that means from this weekend to another. Thanks.
