The yellow is a nice touch. I also like that it is a split level LFL. I don’t recall seeing one of those before.

631 South Fayette Street
Alexandria, VirginiaWhile the library is decorated in cacti, a couple of the books reflect our current weather. The children’s book “The First Day of Winter” and the adult book “White Out” should set the mood for some lucky readers.
I approve of the cacti theme!! They appear to be saguaro. Especially since I am thinking of heading to AZ if this awful weather keeps up!!

This Free Little Library was painted by the kids who attend the Twinbrook Community Center next to it. It even had magazines and comic books! Location is at 12920 Twinbrook Pkway in Rockville, MD. I deposited “Defending Jacob” and borrowed a comic book!

This does not seem to be an “official” LFL but has been here for a while – used it last year as an entry for #PublicArtFinder. It’s on the corner of Viking Dr and Puritan Ct, 38.92663, -77.38435January 7, 2022 at 12:31 am #1115781karenbikes2@gmail.com

There’s also a Tardis LFL in Douglas Park in Arlington – I’ll make my way over there in the next few weeks and snap a pic of it.

ParticipantSeed Library!
121 S. Garfield St.,
Arlington, VAThis little seed library has both books and seeds. It could use a few more seeds – I may stock it later. A good portion of the books were garden-related, but there were others as well, along with a stack of magazines.

Little Free Library (and two cones) I passed at the 1500 block of Irving Street NE en route to the big free library (DCPL) to drop off books. This one does well with book diversity: fiction and non fiction, new and old, books in good shape. High adult serendipity rating. Maybe could use a couple more classics. Others nearby cater to kids.

Nice LFL at 200 N. Filmore Street in Arlington. This little library had something for everyone, including Little Golden Books for kids!January 7, 2022 at 6:01 am #1115821bikingjenn
Participant1/6/22-LFL N 27th St be Florida and Edison. A little something different. First kids pop-up book I have seen in a very very long time. Book about Mary Kay too. Library is a miniature house. I didn’t take a picture of the house or give the
address, because it kind of freaks me out. I wouldn’t want someone posting my address on social media.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This one is right next to one of the people next door, and has a sign celebrating neighbors. So I think it should have more books about the local area.

People who own LFLs have a choice regarding whether to have their address posted online. If they choose not to, it won’t be on the map of Little Free Libraries. If they have chosen to have it on that map with their full address, I don’t see the harm in having the address posted here.

ParticipantOne of the coolest Little Free Libraries is outside Brookland’s Finest restaurant in NE DC. A bike gear adorned robot with working temperature gauge (on the side, viewable in photo challenge thread)!
Sometimes the door sticks so I didn’t want to open it with this morning’s blowing snow, but it looks like it could use some organization and popular fiction.

Hopefully some books for the nerdy kids as well.
