I tidied this LFL up and deposited “Andy and the Lion” by James Daugherty. My son Andy loved this book, possibly because the main character had the same name.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ParticipantI love how this LFL at 309 Frederick Ave in Rockville matched the house and how it’s mounted to their fence too. Left this picture book on BMX bikes.

Sorry I didn’t have a book with me because it’s running low. It did have “Sylvester and the Magic Pebble,” which I remember fondly.

This LFL is located at Island Walk Apartments in Reston and is by far the saddest one I’ve seen. The door is missing its glass or plexiglass so not protection from the elements, and the door latch has pieces broken off. Most of the books were kids books and there was one on raising kids. From the LFL website: “The apartment complex is owned by Community Preservation & Development Corporation, a nonprofit located in Silver Spring, Maryland that builds and manages affordable housing in the United States. The library was donated to Island Walk by their neighbors in a community known as Golf Course Island. The goal is to use the library to build a stronger local community.” Someone needs to take ownership of this LFL and give it some love and attention.

My daughter just wrote a fan letter to ED Baker! Her princesses are strong and often are the ones to save the prince.
