I saw this cutie under a tree on my way home yesterday. I go home this way ALL THE TIME and I’d never noticed it before! It’s literally a block from my house!

Sadly forgot to bring any books with me today as this LFL could use them. It was a mess when I arrived and I straightened it up. All adult books, about half of which were travel relevant. I’m planning to return with a good number of kids books. The LFL is located in Gwen Thompson Briar Patch Park which has a large playground. There were dozens pre-schoolers there today since it was so warm.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That’s a great park. Thanks for straightening up! If you find any Spanish-language books to stock with, I think they’d be very welcome in that part of Sterling.

Only a couple of very slim beginning readers for kids books and no poetry at all so I left “Something BIG Has Been Here,” poems for kids by Jack Prelutsky. Per the LFL map description for this LFL, “Top shelf updated weekly. Lower shelf with monthly themes, Instagram and Facebook.” Couldn’t for the life of me figure out how Instagram and FB factored into the collection of books on the bottom shelf.

That’s one of the things I love about Freezing Saddles — the games encourage us to look at our environment with completely different eyes! Nice that you have a LFL so close you can help stock/scavenge for good books to read!

I must be going too fast down Patrick Henry to notice this one which blends into its environment. My housemate has some books we can add.

If you are a BOOK COLLECTOR, hurry over there! There is a book that appears to be a 1st edition 1910 Zane Grey book. Not in good condition but obviously well-loved.

You can’t see it at all going down Patrick Henry. It’s on the nw side of the street. You can barely see it coming UP the hill. Today I was looking for it, & stopped and took a pic of the view of it from the way up
It’s at the bottom of that tree, barely visible
