We had 13 riders who came along for the LFL replenishment ride: Serdar Jorayev, Jessica Hirschhorn, Carol Abel, Kathy Rice, Jennifer Weiss, Sophie CW, Leslie T, Nadine Beck, Sharon F, Lin De, Scott (non-BAFS), Patty (non-BAFS), and me. Added bonus [emoji931] [emoji931] [emoji931]!! Jessica brought solar powered lights which she and several others installed on the LFL!! Fun ride with a great group of riders dedicated to sharing a love of reading! Thanks to all who came out and brought a book or two, a special thanks to Serdar who swept, and also a special thanks to Boomer who wasn’t able to join the ride but was a HUGE help developing the route! More photos in my Strava feed.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Participant2/27/22 LFL Replenishment Ride–had two books but deposited first one The Enchantress of Florence by S Rushdie at the near empty LFL at Bluemont park. Dropped off The Paris Wife (& so did Carol) at this LFL on Duke St in Alex near Taylor Pkwy
Kelly, there was discussion about whether a photo dropping off the book needed yo be in the picture and if yes, does the bike, book, cyclist and LFL all need to be in one photo?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bike, book, LFL — person does not need to be in the photo. But be careful – the rules say ONE photo.

ParticipantLFL at Union Mill Elementary School. Loved the sitting area in front of the library. Also, this library is large enough to have two doors, one on the front and one on the back. This LFL had a good selection of kids’ books but could use more books for adults.

Empty LFL Replenishment Ride today – I donated a fictional detective story about the murders of cyclists competing in Tour de France.
I took a photo of this book since I want to read it. Sounds good!

ParticipantWell, I was in a rush and managed to get a photo of the book I left at this LFL (Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey) and one of the plate with the LFL charter number BUT I FORGOT TO TAKE ONE OF MY BIKE AND THE LFL ITSELF! [emoji12]
Charter #21568
1507 Elk Point Dr., Reston VA 20194
Lat: 38.9811197 Long: -77.35465040000001
The LFL map locates this LFL on Elk Point Ln but it’s actually outside the back fence of the house at this address, accessible from a path that runs behind the house.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This LFL at 4803 Davenport Street Northwest has stained glass over part of the front, and a flag of Sweden flying from it. It seems to specialize in self help books, so it could use more of those.Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

ParticipantA free library at Union Market. Probably gets a lot of foot traffic. Could use more children books and games.

ParticipantRissy’s Room is a LFL at 5109 Norbeck Service Rd dedicated to children’s books. It nicely wallpapered inside and had this bench with a Dr Seuss quote. I didn’t bring an adult book so just donated this book about baseball bears.
