This LFL appears to be very new and is in excellent shape. All of the books were for adults so I left Space Kid. The LFL was loosely organized by non-fiction on the lower shelf, and fiction on the top. Just as I was leaving a group of high school students came along and one of them swapped out a book he’d brought for one in the LFL.Actually seeing a LFL in use and by high school students — DING DING DING — extra points!

I went back and looked and this is the 2nd Tardis – the earlier one was in Bethesda and after that one you said there was one in Arlington – is this the one you meant? The shape certainly lends itself to a Tardis!
Yep! This was the one I meant – I finally went back to the Douglas Park Neighborhood and found it again

LFL – 5th Street N., between N. Hudson and N. Highland Streets in Arlington, VA. OK, so I wasn’t paying attention. I thought the instructions said to bring a SPORTS Book, but I neglected to notice that it said bring a CHILDREN’s sports book. DOH! And if you really want to get technical, this isn’t a sports book per se, but rather a cookbook made by the folks at Runner World. Oh well! LOL!

ParticipantLFL on Lamarre Drive in Fairfax. I happened upon this library yesterday and made a mental note to go back and get it today. It is interesting to note that the library is made by Simplay3 and is called a Sharing Library.

Another one for the bonus points: Little Free Library at 4208 46th Street NW temporarily became a comb Little Free Library and Little Free Pantry for the pandemic. I left a can of minestrone soup.Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

This LFL seems to be unofficial. It’s located at the corner of Persimmon Cir and Mathy Dr. I didn’t have time to really check it out since I was on Cathy Miller and Serdar Jorayev’s Immigration Heritage BAFS ride.February 7, 2022 at 3:14 am #1118817Sophie CW

Participant#FSBOOKS. Sorry I have to post three pictures of this TRI-LEVEL LFL! What a find in New Freedom, PA. A three-sided free library, for adults, young adults and children. Clean and well-stocked, the adult section even had a copy of the New Testaments’ psalms and proverbs! The young adult section was under renovation, but the children’s section was well-stocked and I plan to return with a children’s donation.

This is the LFL that Serdar found last month that was EMPTY! I’m planning to lead a LFL replenishment ride within the next several weeks so did a scouting ride today. Cathy Miller and another non-FS friend joined me and we left a few books as it was still empty. The couple who own the pest control business where the LFL is located arrived while we were photo-documenting. We explained that we’re planning to bring some friends with more books which they appreciated. This is not an official chartered LFL but I told them about the website and the ability to get it chartered. Not sure whether they will follow through on that.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ParticipantReplenished this LFL on Duke Street in Alexandria. This is the LFL that Serdar found last month without any books. It didn’t have any books today either. Karen and I rode in from Vienna to bring a few books for the now, no longer empty library shelves.

ParticipantLFL located in Dogwood Park, 800 Monroe Street, was built by the Rockville Baseball Association but had no books about baseball or sports. It had plenty of kids books but I donated one anyway.

Great Little Free Library in the 600 Block of F St NE DC. Good adult selection. Perhaps could use more social justice related titles to accompany the flags and signs displayed proudly around it.

For you and CathyM, serious bonus points for truly embracing the spirit of the LFL hunt!
