This one is called The Reading Nest, and has a stone lion at its base. It seems to specialize in books about 1960s musicians, so it could use more of those.

This LFL appears to be very new and is in excellent shape. All of the books were for adults so I left Space Kid. The LFL was loosely organized by non-fiction on the lower shelf, and fiction on the top. Just as I was leaving a group of high school students came along and one of them swapped out a book he’d brought for one in the LFL.

In honor of the Winter Olympics, if you do ONE (choose the one) of the following, you’ll get 10 extra points EACH DAY that you do this.

2. Donate a CHILDREN’s book on Chinese culture of any kind to any LFL you encounter; OR
3. Donate food to any LFL/LFPantry

In order to harvest these points you must

a. Take a photo of the book at the LFL that you are blessing (along with some part of your bike)
b. TELL US what book it is and if you want, why you chose it
c. Or, if doing #3, show us what you’re putting in the pantry

You will receive 10 points for EACH donation.

All other requirements (bike in photo, one photo only) apply!

So, you COULD earn 150 extra points between 5 Feb and 20 Feb by doing this every day. Are you up for the challenge?

Okay, saying children’s books has become a cliché. But seriously? A Little Free Library right next to an elementary school that has no children’s books? This definitely needs some!

I saw the post too late about sports and food, so I don’t have one for this one.

However – this is one of the COOLEST LFLs I have ever seen -a TARDIS!

LFL on Portsmouth Road in Fairfax. This LFL probably had the most balanced selection (in regard to age groups) of books that I have seen. The homeowner pulled up in their car when I was taking a picture and asked me if I liked their LFL. I ended up explaining our game and telling her that there were other people in the Fairfax area playing the game so she may see someone else taking a picture. She got a good laugh. She told me her mother made the library.
