Love this little free kiddo Library! Found a couple sitting on a bench nearby. Had to explain why this “weirdo” was taking a pic so close by, lol!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ParticipantLFL found on Cottage Street in Vienna. This library has six cubbies inside with each cubby labeled for different types of books: adult, teen, adult nonfiction, young kids, kids, and kid nonfiction. The library had a wide assortment of books. Yeah!!

Arlington, VAThis LFL in front of the fire station only had adult books, so I donated a young adult book – Guerilla Season.

I donated “That Bear Can’t Babysit” to the Little Free Library outside the YMCA at 1906 Allison St. NE DC. It joined a few other kid books and a couple popular adult fiction books, as well as the Time Life VHS series about Rock ‘n Roll and several pairs of brand new heavy duty winter gloves!January 28, 2022 at 4:51 am #1117960cvcalhoun
ParticipantBack side of St. John’s Church Norwood, 6700 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda. (Note bell tower in the background.) It was built as a Boy Scout service project. Given that it’s attached to a church, it could use more religious books.

This library was built and installed by G. Thomas Knecht of Boy Scout Troop 62. He donated the Library on behalf of the Winter Park Public Library. It’s easy to find, outside of the Winter Park Train Station building, at the south end of the platform, facing the tracks. Well stocked with adult fiction and a few non-fiction, but only one children’s book, “The Bravest Dog Ever: The True Story of Balto.” Forgot to bring a book with me today.I just listened to a podcast about the story of Balto and the Nome Serum Run. Not quite like the Disney version, but still heroic!

ParticipantLFL jackpot! A trifecta of LFL’s located between 30th Rd S. and 30th Street S. on S.Abingdon Street in Fairlington on the grounds of the Community Center. 3 adorable LFLs plus an overflow bin full of all types of books.
One seemed to be more kid oriented. The others had a variety of offerings for adults.
Do I get 3 pts for this 3 in 1 location? [emoji6]

ParticipantThis Little Free Library doesn’t have an address; it’s at the triangle at the intersection of Sonoma and Seneca in Bethesda. It’s not on any map. It still has the instructions for how to register it on the front. It could use some mysteries, because the question of who managed to put it up on what appears to be public land is a mystery.

Oh, i LOVE this one – I browse through it all the time! Usually there aren’t that many children’s books, but the content constantly changes. One of the pros of being in a well-traveled location.

210 N. Barton Street. It looked like it needed it, so I left a kids book there: 3rd Grade Mermaid.

I donated “put me in the zoo” to this wooden beauty on 5th St and Ingraham NW, adding a little diversity to the existing great collection of popular fiction and biographies, Michelle Obama’s for one.

ParticipantNot for points (since I’m the sponsor) but what a delightful surprise today! Built into a legacy tree trunk, this LFL had a shelf for adult and one for kids. Both were well stocked!
