Unchartered LFL at Alexandria Country Day School, Russell Road, Alexandria VALocated at the top of the biggest hill in the hood, so don’t expect many others to climb up for this one. A small collection of mixed titles, but there was one from the Winnie the Pooh series, which was appropriate given its location at a school. It had a companion little free food pantry, too.

ParticipantThis magnificent LFL is at 1841 Vernon St in Adams Morgan. It’s supposed to have some inspirational art and design books but I saw mostly fiction, the occasional children’s book, and a book titled “Squirrels seeks Chipmunks” that was appropriate for today’s scavenger hunt.

This LFL was at 1228 Utah Street in Arlington. I loved the barn shape. So inviting!
I was hoping I would find a squirrel living inside!

Lat: 39.01679
Long: -77.13847This one was quite ornate: A main part with two stories (the upper one being where that round porthole is) with adult books, and an annex on the left side with kids’ books (and a chimney on top). It could use more kids’ books, though–that section was considerably less full than the adult section.

What a great idea. And if you do it, those who participate in the ride and donate (a) book(s) will get extra points. Just post a photo so I know to give extra points!
