ParticipantLFL found at Eagle View Elementary School on Dixie Hill Road. Found this LFL because I was in the area, knew that there was a school on that road (it’s my voting location), and decided to cycle by to see if there was a LFL. There were a number of picture books so it could really use chapter books for the older elementary school student along with YA and Adult books.

Chartered LFL #62800 on E. Nelson Ave in the Del Ray hood of Alexandria VA.
Genre: another eclectic mix of fiction, dominated by “the Asolute Book” by Elizabeth Knox, which one reviewer called “Mythology of the British Isles from all eras of history is thrown into a blender and churned into a heady concoction” which was way too heavy for a Wednesday night, so I rode on in search of a cicada husk instead.
Needed: Maybe some lighter non-fiction?Sent from Boomer_Cycles via my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rogue free library I happened upon when one mile turned into four. Location on grounds of Rock Spring Congregational Church on Little Falls St. not a registered LFL. Disappointing selection… only Christian theology books and some physics textbooks. In front of a coop preschool and no children’s books.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ParticipantLittle Free Library in the 3800 block of 18th St NE. One we hadn’t noticed before today. Lots of room for more books. My daughter thought it was in particular need of more kids selections so we’ll try to deposit some next time we pass.

This one is an interesting one, painted with a sun on one side and a moon on the other. It seems to specialize in mysteries, so it could use more of those.

ParticipantThis Little Free Library was spotted at 813 Harper Avenue in Los Angeles, CA
Nice periwinkle color, and it appears that whoever created it got some help from children making the decorative side tiles. It had a varied selection of non-children’s books, mostly fiction, including Ellison’s Invisible Man. Also two copies of the same book in Cyrillic, which I don’t read, so not sure what it was.

Participant1/11 – LFL at 2119 N St NW in West End. One side contains an art work of Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, and the other Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge. Was so distracted with the art work that I forgot to look inside!

ParticipantThe Dumbarton House’s LFL is at the corner of 27th and Q St, at the entrance of a little park. It sems to contain novels and would be a great place to read a book during the daytime.

This beauty has 2 levels, an addition and a shingled roof! It’s contents were a mix of fiction and non-fiction, including a few steamy supermarket romance novels (gotta love the suburb genre!
. Since it’s in the Belle View hood of Alexandria, it could use more children’s titles, but it is overflowing with so much inventory that the neighbors had added trays of books on the lawn underneath the LFL.

That’s a cool LFL. I love to seeing the creativity of people when they design their LFL.
