An empty LFL, closed because patrons wouldn’t follow social distancing rules. The library will be restocked when it is safe to do so.

That seems a little harsh – I mean, how many people were congregating around there at one time? Very sad but thanks for posting it.

Unchartered LFL at corner of Tennessee & Gresham in the Beverly Hills hood of Alexandria VA. Kids books on top shelf was low on inventory. Eclectic mix of adult titles like “Two Kinds of Truths” and “The Whore of Akron” on the full bottom shelf. True to the Dr. Seuss quote on the LFL, it needs more kids’ magic books:

‘You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.’

Located at 107 S. Washington Street in Rockville, this LFL had a little bench for all to find peace and relaxation and to read too! (Sitting would be better when the temperatures are above freezing.)

It’s near the Y, so it could use more books on fitness.

    LFL – Day 11 – 1/11/2022

    312 S. Fillmore Street
    Arlington, VA

This little library had very few books – in fact, the top shelf was almost empty! Most of the books that WERE there were adult fiction, so I think it needs a few more children’s books.

    A couple of housekeeping tips:

1 Photo per day. It’s tempting to include more when a LFL is really cute, but choose the best ONE please.

Post it on the day it was taken. Photos that come in after midnight for the prior day will receive no extra points – they make it very difficult for the tallying (everything on the forum has to be done by hand). You’ll still get the participation point from Strava, but not here.

IF you have tech difficulties that prevent you posting, send me a quick message and I’ll extend grace.

This one offered a lot of quirky titles, such as The Business of Happiness and My Temple is my Minivan. Also, a great wooden bench so you could sit and read (on a warmer day). Located on Stirrup Lane in Stratford Landing in Alexandria VA
