This is Stan, Carla, and Lola’s Lil Free Library at 33 Garden Drive in Alexandria. According to the LFL website, they created a space for their neighbors to feel connected to each other in these crazy Covid times. There are a lot of religous and spiritual books there.

Here’s one from the James Creek Swim Club at the corner of Lindenwood Dr. and Clovercrest Way in Olney.

I spotted five Sherryl Woods books. Perhaps some unsatisfied wives out here??

Nadine and I found the LFL at McCoy Park in Arlington, Veitch and N 20th Streets.
This overflowing LFL needed some reorganizing so everything would fit inside. So this librarian did some rearranging. [emoji4]
I like the selection of books. There was even an Ursula Le Guin book! Nadine almost borrowed it!!fb5d71ec3e737b03b6123005062b641d.jpg

I could always use laundry detergent! Was it a good brand?

I’m finding most of the LFL’s here are at elementary schools. Some are actually inside the school so that’s a nope for me.

    Bill Sybert School

But this one today was accompanied by a Community Blessing Box. Both receptacles were well stocked!

LFL on E Del Ray Ave, aka “Holiday Card Lane” for the holiday greeting cards that all the neighbors put on their front lawns.
Genre: heavy adult titles like “Drowning Ruth” and “Daddy, We Hardly Knew You.”
Needs: How about light up and read some Winnie the Pooh?!!

This one isn’t on the map, so I’ll give only the approximate location. However, it’s right across the street from North Bethesda Middle School. As such, it could use more Young Adult books.

LFL at 3300 17th St NW in Mt Pleasant. Had a mix of children’s, young adult, and other fiction. It sure could use some more children’s and young adult books!

This LFL is located on Beaumont Street in Fairfax. It looks like a repurposed “free newspaper” box that has been lovingly painted and filled with books. Lots of children’s books. Could use some tidying up and some adult books.

Little Free Library 2200 block of S St NE DC.
    Cool DC stencil on door.
Lots of mysteries from Agatha Christie to modern day and Cheetah girl books. Could use more everything else, maybe sooner horticultural books since it’s great the National Arboretum.
