ParticipantColada Shop in the U St Corridor, a popular local Cuban sandwich chain. We also have Cuban immigrants to thank for the Cuban sandwich, a variation of the ham and cheese sandwich except with roast pork. It apparently originated from Florida.

ParticipantPupuseria “El Buengusto” Restaurant is located on Main Street in Fairfax City. They are a family-owned restaurant that serves Salvadorian and Mexican food. The Garcia family’s specialty is pupusas but they serve a variety of other entrees and sides.
