ParticipantSpokes is running a discount on their bike fitting services -$100 for a road or mountain bike -only slightly more than a 17-mile WABA biking event, and neither gives you lunch 😎 (kidding). I’m not affiliated with Spokes and never had a full-fledged bike fit before, but I know lot of people, including posters in these forums, have said they can be extremely worthwhile.

I bought some of their waterproof gloves about a year ago. They were great for about the first 5 times I wore them in the rain, and after that, the idea of waterproof went poof. Now, they are basically my mid-level gloves. I still wear them when it rains, but they become saturated pretty quickly. My hands stay warm even though the gloves are saturated (like yesterday a.m. commute), so I continue to use them.

I’ve used Sealskinz socks for years kayaking. They keep you dry for a while, but eventually they get stinky and you have to wash them. Once you’ve washed them (or otherwise used and abused them enough), they no longer keep you dry. Since my feet would get wet anyway any time I would walk in water or have enough water splashing around in the boat that it would run down from the top, water would get in anyway, so this wasn’t a big deal. It was more like wearing a wetsuit for your feet.
