ParticipantSteep and Cheap has the Sugoi reflective jacket on sale for $65. I saw Chris Watson’s on the last midnight saddles ride and I can attest to its reflective properties! I wanted one, but I could only find it at REI for $150 and I didn’t want it THAT badly. Not sure if they have any men’s sizes and women’s is pink only.

ParticipantGot an email from the WABA person who booked my Adult Learn to Ride class back in May about Bike and Roll’s sale:
They said “no” when I asked if they had any road bikes.

ParticipantAmazon has a set of Race Face Turbine wheels used for $287. Looks like they come with caps so you can run them with QRs as well.

ParticipantSwobo makes pretty nice looking transportation bikes and they’re having a sale. You can get an 8 speed internal hub bike for $699. Personally I want to build up a bike on the Folsom frameset. It’s kind of the hipster city version of a Surly Troll. Example winter bike build from the interwebs:

ParticipantProrack 4-Bike Hitch Carrier is going for just under $27 on amazon. Note that this does not fold down…buy hey, for under $30 it’s worth a shot. For those that don’t know Prorack is a “value” brand of Yakima.

Cheap bib tights from Nashbar. Factory seconds due to a logo discoloration for $26.79. I have pair of these from last year and they’re not bad. They kept me warm into the upper 30s low 40s. The chamois is a little thin, but they’re definitely serviceable.

ParticipantWABA’s Women and Bicycle group is doing fundraiser with Po Campo. You get 15% off bags at http://www.pocampo.com/ with discount code WABA, PLUS all of the sales benefit the Women and Bicycles group. This group does some great outreach to get more women on bikes, safely biking, and other women and bike focused advocacy.
I got the logan trunk bag in purple. I saw a few in person, and they are a good size for (rolled up) work clothes, lunch and a spare tube/C02 cartridge/bike tool. Plus cuter to carry around at work than my dark blue ortleib.

ParticipantProteus Bikes started their Cranksgiving sale today:
http://www.proteusbicycles.com/cranksgiving-2015/
Warning: They have TWO sales animals (a cat and a dog)
Tried a bunch of bikes. The surprise discovery for me was the Kona Private Jake – really nice “just get on it and have (sportive) fun” bike. I never rode with a 1×10 drivetrain before – the acceleration was amazing. The geometry was a bit too aggressive for regular 25-28 mile round-trip commuting, but it’s well suited for the intended purpose of the bike – a pure cyclocross racer.

Actually the SRAM 1Xs go to 11. Like Spinal Tap’s amps.

ParticipantDecent sales today @ Competitive Cyclist for high-end name brand bits, including a 20% discount on the most expensive item in your cart… worth looking at, at the very least.
