Prime X appears to have dropped to $209 at Amazon and B&H Photo. I used to see this action camera sell for about $250.

ParticipantBicycle Space has some kind of deal – put $100 deposit towards a bike, get $200 off, plus additional $50 off certain in-stock bikes. I’ll have to ask them in person whether it really means a $100 discount.

ParticipantAmazon has the Pearl Izumi Barrier Convertible Jacket for a good price in sizes small ($31.54) and medium ($24.88) in Screaming Yellow color. Next best price is in the $90-100 range.

Note that Amazon prices fluctuate, and prices like these usually jump back to normal after one or two purchases.

ParticipantI’ve been looking for a video camera for a while, reading the forum and reviews and getting totally confused. Then I saw Amazon has the blue Contour Roam2 for only $90. I almost went for it but decided the better low-light capabilities, image stabilization and included mounting hardware of the Polaroid XS100 made it a better buy. I just thought the Roam-fanz around here might like to know about the Amazon price for the older, but still capable model.

Don’t the ROAM, Polaroid, and Monoprice versions of that camera all have the same internals?

I thought the ROAM was different. Polaroid, Monoprice, and a number of others are the same.

Visited the shop yesterday. They confirmed the $200 coupon (which is on sale for $100) is a roundabout way of getting $100 off a bike.
I almost rode home on a 51 cm Felt V85 after trying it and an All City Space Horse, except the guy helping me thought the 54 cm would be a better fit for me. Unfortunately, the 54 cm wasn’t in stock, which was a shame because the in-stock V85 was marked 15% off (about $210 in savings). Just over $1000 for a V85 would have been too hard to resist.

ParticipantMy Granite “water resistant” backpack that I use on days that I commute by Metro rather than bike stopped being water resistant a while back. It was thoroughly soaked on that Monday this past June when that heavy storm hit us – even though I had an umbrella!
With a change of seasons on the way, I decided try commuting with a backpack instead of panniers, on days that I don’t intend to stop by a grocery store. As it turns out, Chrome has several of its waterproof backpacks on sale – and most of them have a laptop sleeve, which is handy for those days I have to take my work laptop home.

The prices on the discounted backpacks beat REI’s Labor Day sale prices, except for the Excursion 37 model.
EDIT: They have other stuff on sale too – eg a vest which could be useful for layering on top of my Pearl Izumi jacket when the weather gets colder.

ParticipantHmmm, Chrome on sale is still more expensive than Banjo Bros waterproof backpacks. Their commuter pack also has a laptop sleeve. My last Banjo Bros lasted me 5 or 6 years; I just got another.

ParticipantI forgot about Banjo Brothers. Oh well, I’ve done worse than overpay $20-$35 for a backpack.

ParticipantYeah, the Chrome stuff should last a long time.

ParticipantLooking for a cheap jersey? This Canari is on sale for $12-16 depending on size. You’ll see that Canari apparently has a love for Game of Thrones…

ParticipantChrome Industries is opening a shop on U St (near 9th St NW), so Bicycle Space is having a 50% off clearance sale on all their Chrome stuff.

You might want to check out Tri360. The shop announced that it is closing and it’s liquidating its stock at deep discount. The shop carries Felts.

ParticipantStages is having blowout sale on power meters. Just picked up the SRAM Rival version for $399.
This will be for the Omniums on my Cinelli, but it looks like I could easily throw it on my mountain bike if I pick up a SRAM X5 crank (which are cheap), which should easily swap with the Shimano crank currently on it. Even with the cost of the new crank, that’s still a great deal.
