ParticipantNo knickers for you. They look too much like golf pants.

Maybe that would teach me not to be so judgmental.

On-one has merino clothing on clearance. The shipping cost seems to go down to about $6-8 after a point (sneaky).
I’ve procured much merino from this sale, all excellent, and it looks like they still have some stuff left. The ‘perform’ jersey has many pockets that make me happy, but runs a little long (though I doubt that’s a problem for normal-sized humans), and a touch smaller than the other sans-pocket jerseys.

The thick merino socks are great; I got three pairs for only $9.

ParticipantSo these people think that these extremely fine pantalones that are clearly intended for CX are actually “hoop leggings”, whatever THOSE are, but anyway, the point is that they are 50% off and you should get you some: http://hoopnotica.com/collections/hoop-leggings

ParticipantThe only things worse than those leggings are their names.

ParticipantThis is a great deal. I had been eyeballing a camera for awhile and pounced on this. Happy birthday to me!

ParticipantOoh and it’s a men’s camera. Sorry ladies, this one is stand-up only or something.

I got one just for the great price. Got a GoPro Hero 3 for the birthday, but figured for this price I could try it out and sell whichever I don’t like.
The video preview feature and improved battery life might just make this one a winner!October 30, 2014 at 2:10 pm #1013506sjclaeys
ParticipantWhile in Sydney, I visited a few bike shops and noticed that winter is gear is now on sale there, though the commute is a bit long.

This is a great deal. That specific price seems to be gone, but you can still get it for ~$100. But then I did a few minutes of investigation into the Virb Edit software and specifically how I would work with the video files on Linux …. and was left with the impression that 1) Virb Edit is very buggy (no surprise, it’s Garmin) and 2) Good luck with Linux. And then I discovered http://gopro.com/support/open-source … so I guess I’m buying a GoPro (someday)! The ability to control from the Garmin 510 would be nice. As would the slimmer form factor, though I’d probably use a chest mount for MTB which gives the GoPro form factor an advantage.

I figure I can do fancy edits in different editting software should the need arise. One thing I love is that the VIRB comes with an adapter so you can use any third party GoPro mount…and there’s tons. But yeah, this isn’t best design for chest mount. I just couldn’t pass on the price. I kind of half expect to get an email from Amazon that it was a mistake.

ParticipantI was sooooo close to pulling the trigger on the VIRB, but I think if I buy an action cam, I’m gonna hold out for a GoPro Hero 4. Quite a bit more expensive, but it has more features I’d want than the VIRB. Now, if the VIRB Elite was that price, then I probably would’ve gone through with it.

Yup, agreed on the price. Let us know how you find it. I’m still very tempted, despite potentially being more cumbersome to pull stuff off etc.
