This deal is on the Schwalbe Winter tires, which have fewer studs than the Schwalbe Marathon Winter tires. The Marathon Winter tires are still $77 each.

my bad. I guess the wiggle deal is not bad on those, then. http://www.wiggle.com/schwalbe-marathon-winter-performance-rigid-road-tire/ $64 plus free shipping (from europe–I don’t really understand .com math). Still trying to decide how to stay upright this winter.

ParticipantOn-one has merino clothing on clearance. The shipping cost seems to go down to about $6-8 after a point (sneaky).

I thought we all agreed from the covet thread that if you don’t use panniers your bike is just a toy! We are the fringe of the cycling society! Not to be messed with! And also feared for our haphazard ability to cavalierly jump on and off our bikes and ride into the sunset! and also scorned by Dismal for carrying to much crap.
Seriously, big kudos to Timbuk2 who actually matched the price down on my purchase from last week with the new bigger coupon. You all rock. They certainly weren’t obligated to and could have easily told me to shove it since my backpack was now out of stock and I couldn’t “return” and buy a “new one” anyway.

Not silly, just stinky. The pannier set is just too polite to say it to your face.

That’s definitely true. I am gonna throw my bag in the washing machine this weekend.

Panniers are nice, but the sale I am interested in now is on windbreakers at Performance bikes, so that as the weather cools I no longer have to face the choice being looking like someone absurdly hardcore/pathetic or wearing an aging, distinctly non-high visibility light blue.
