http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/bik/3733000116.htmlI swear we always see the same ads. I was drooling over that build until I saw it was built for giants. Sadness. A good deal though and a beautiful bike.

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/bik/3733000116.htmlThe bike is badged “1/8” I think there is only one person that can buy this bike, although it looks like it would fit me, as opposed to these tiny sized rides yall usually post.

ParticipantI don’t trust anyone who uses a can of Fat Tire as a kickstand. And no chance the seller took those pictures.

ParticipantBridgestone RB-1 on CL
Listed as a “Brookstone”:
Brookstone RB-1 Road Bike – $600 (Dahlgren, VA)
That may actually be an advantage to anyone who wants to buy it, as the mis-labeling in the ad title may mean fewer inquiries. $600 is probably too much to pay for this bike, but it has a couple of things going for it. It looks to be in pretty good shape rust-wise and it seems to be the original owner and still all OEM equipment. As usual buyer beware on this one…seller mentions it has been sitting in a garage for 12 years, which combined with the original owner and OEM group is like crack wrapped in bacon to the folks who would be interested in this bike. I would definitely see if I could bargain down…$500 would be good-ish but $400 would be a great buy.
Seller specifies “21.5” from the crank center to the top bar” which should roughly translate to a 54 or 55cm frame if he measured correctly. I actually would love to own an RB-1 but this one is too small for me. Also if I bring another bike in the house I will soon be kicked out, sooooo…

Looks to be a great deal on a Kona Jake. This one doesn’t have the disc brakes like the 2013, but that color scheme is pretty snazzy IMHO.
http://2k12.konaworld.com/cx.cfm?content=jake – About $300 off the price of a new one.

ParticipantToo small for me, but a 54cm civia bryant with igh and belt drive has been on my ideal commuter wishlist.
