This year’s bollard crop sure is lookin’ fine, Pa! Soon it’ll be time to harvest!

Just like my mom used to say about the corn: “Knee high by the Fourth of July…”

From the Proteus Bicycles group ride this morning. Guess where (“end of the trail” is not a full answer)

Full disclosure: this picture was taken from a car :-( . But you could ride to the spot where the pic was taken, though the trail dead ends here and you wouldn’t want to be on the road past this spot. AND there’s definitely a story behind this spot, and I’m desperate to know it. So hopefully someone will both recognize the spot AND explain the story…

I’m bumping this in hopes someone knows the story behind it. I’ll post location this afternoon so last chance for guesses…

Wild guess since I’ve never ridden there – Klingle Road?

Closer than Klingle — it’s under I66 heading East from Spout Run (I was driving on Spout Run taking the picture). If you can’t tell from the picture, there’s a ghost trail — paved, striped, but kinda suspended mid-air with a sign that says something like “Danger, this is not a trail”.

    So what’s the story?

Yes I think so — not sure what it means though.

This could be lots of places, but the hint is that it was at the start of my WO&D mid-commute CX detour.
