Is that on the Kennedy Center’s property?

I think I posted a link to the answer a few days ago.
Isn’t it a cool story behind it? There’s tons of neat stuff in DC like that. Rock on!
This thread reminds me of a scavenger hunt. I organized a bike/walk one years ago. You had to find certain clues around town to decode a message. (Some genius guy who was a physicist figured it out an hour before everyone else. Lesson – don’t invite really really smart people). We should organize something like that.

I kinda like the scavenger hunt nature of it. I am posting the answer with each photo if people want to just cut to the chase and see.
I’m enjoying this. I like what y’all are posting… even if I don’t know where they all are. It is cool to see the region through your eyes.

ParticipantBrother was visiting from Idaho when I showed him around. Hopefully enough of the important stuff is missing to make this at least a bit challenging

Right by the Lincoln Memorial (near the SE corner)? Those buses look like they could be headed to Hains Point!

We rode through there yesterday on our SE/NE/NW tour.

Looked like a fun ride–I would have liked to join, but I had to steal another one of americancyclo’s strava KOMs.

Mr. Tuba and I were both kinda hurting a bit, so it was good for us to motivate each other. We took turns pushing the other just enough. Mother Nature helped with the wind on the way home.
On topic: I’m pretty sure no-one is going to be able to tell where this AWESOME bridge is. It was listed as a bike route by Google Maps:

Is that right at the corner of Oxon Run Drive and Audrey Lane? Good thing you took the CX bikes!

It was 100 yards of squishy grass. The best reason to ride the cross bikes is because they had tires that could deal with the amazing volumes of broken glass that make up the road surface in many parts of DC. People in SE have always been SUPER nice and very polite to me when we’ve ridden through. Much nicer than any other part of the area. Unfortunately there’s a lot of broken glass around to dodge. Having something like Marathon Extremes or Armadillos is kind of a necessity.

This is a lovely Church outside of the District, but inside the beltway. It is a tiny bit off the beaten path.
HERE is the answer.
Love,
Pete
PS: I have to say this again… I’m really enjoying see y’all’s photos. Please keep posting them up! It is really cool to see stuff from a cyclist’s point of view. How many motorists stop along their commute to photograph? I did once per week TOPS when I was driving every day.
