Yield to Pedestrian [sic].
But which one do I yield to if there is more than one crossing the street at the same time. You can’t possibly mean I need to yield to all of them?! Can you?

ParticipantAs long as you yield to one, yur good.

ParticipantJust noticed this on my ride today: the wide paved side path running along the west side of Mulligan Road between Telegraph Road and Pole Road (shown here: https://goo.gl/maps/aUkr5 ) is fully complete! The trail is very nice, albeit with a hill to climb both ways (some on this forum would call that a feature), and you avoid riding in traffic with a 40 mph limit. The finished trail is great for those looking to make a connection between the MVT/Mount Vernon Memorial Highway and the Telegraph/Beulah bike lanes without having to pass through a checkpoint.
One word of caution, though: if you’re heading south at the intersection of US-1/Todd Way/Mt Vernon Memorial Highway, the sensor does not detect bicycles, and the light cycle will skip you unless you use the pedestrian crosswalk with beg button or a vehicle is waiting to go south in the straight lane.

ParticipantThe recent re-striping of the modified Telegraph and S. Kings intersection includes a bike lane. That’s the plus. The downside is it really only runs for that two block stretch. And, it runs along the edge of the road until midway through each of the turn lanes where the riders have to cross back left to the area between the turn lane and lane proceeding straight. I will continue taking the lane here as appropriate because I really do not trust any drivers to expect me to move left in front of them in my quest to continue straight, plus it’s hard to look over my shoulder to judge traffic at this busy intersection.

ParticipantThe bridge that carries the “trail” along route 27 between the Pentagon and Memorial bridge is getting replaced and will feature a 10′ shared use path.
The rest of the trail will, presumably, continue to suck.

Awesome, but do you mean 14′ path?
Quote:The bridge will be widened to accommodate a 14-foot shared-use path on the east side, and an 8-foot sidewalk on the west. The superstructure will be replaced and widened, increasing the length of the bridge to 470 feet by reconfiguring the end spans.March 25, 2015 at 10:03 pm #1026787chris_s
ParticipantYep, typo on my end. Also note the barrier between the path and traffic.
