JQA… Should have been Mikey’s but he let me steal it.
I just wonder if people working in the JQA building wondered why of all days people kept stopping in front of their obscure corner of campus and snapping photos.

ParticipantI liked that only because it was Mikey’s and this challenge was all his great idea.
That said street signs are weak, and I will not ‘like’ them again. /rant

ParticipantRather than a lame street sign, one might find this:https://maps.google.com/maps?q=6600+Luzon+Avenue+Northwest,+Washington,+DC&hl=en&ll=38.969945,-77.033236&spn=0.014639,0.008787&sll=38.893596,-77.014576&sspn=0.937908,0.562363&oq=6600+luzon&hnear=6600+Luzon+Ave+NW,+Washington,+District+of+Columbia+20012&t=m&z=17&layer=c&cbll=38.969942,-77.033168&panoid=HGqVlrkWdrdMY94nUUPX3A&cbp=12,175.96,,2,7.87
Or perhaps the really ambitious could find this:http://www.dhr.virginia.gov/registers/Counties/Shenandoah/VanBuren_Furnace_photo.htm

ParticipantVan Buren. I don’t dislike Mikey’s all that much. But having bicycled 10 miles out of my way to get this one, I wanted to make sure it wasn’t moot before I even got home.

Well played, and now on to W.H. Harrison. Don’t remake his mortal mistake, wear your overcoat.

No one stopped for a pic in Ashburn today?

ParticipantOkay Dismal, you seem to be the master of the obscure. You got anything for Harrison close by that’s not Berkeley Plantation south of Richmond?
January 19, 2014 at 6:33 pm #991626Steve O
ParticipantWilliam Henry Harrison
(This is admittedly obscure and may require some hints. First hint: this is not a geographical reference)

ParticipantTallula Bankhead’s father, who later became a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, made his first trip to Washington to see the inauguration of Benjamin Harrison (the other President Harrison). True and definitely beyond obscure! Is that it, or is there another less obscure connection?
