Way to play the my-grandfather-served-in-WWII card!
I am named after him. I aint too proud. He served under Vinegar Joe Stillwell. Together they saw more front line action then any other WWII command. Their job was to keep the Japanese busy until Europe was solved. After the war he served in Turkey as part of the Cold War and had a dog name Pang. He ended as the commander of the 6th Army, stationed at the Presidio. They had a beautiful house up on the cliffs, next to Jefferson Starship.
